Move documents between your phone and your computer
Word files, spreadsheets and presentations are the awkward ones. A phone can usually open them and can rarely do anything useful with them, so a document that has arrived on a phone — attached to a message, downloaded from a portal, exported by an app — has to get to a computer before any real work happens to it. This page does that in a browser: open it on the computer, scan the code with the phone, pick the file. No cable, no app, no account.
The document is carried, not converted. What arrives is the same file — fonts, styles, formulas, tracked changes and all — because nothing here opens it. The only thing Pixpoo reads is the first few kilobytes, to confirm the file really is the type it claims: a .docx is a ZIP container and so is a .jar, so “it is a ZIP” is not an answer on its own, and both halves are checked.
Which formats go through

- OpenDocument — ODT, ODS and ODP, for LibreOffice and OpenOffice.
- Plain text — TXT, CSV, Markdown and RTF.
Google Docs, Sheets and Slides are the exception, and deliberately so: a Google-native file has no bytes to download — Drive converts it on the way out — so the picker does not offer them. Export one to Word or Excel first and it goes through normally.
From your phone to your computer
Leave the selector on Phone to Computer and point the phone’s camera at the code. The phone opens a page with one button; choose the documents — from the Files app on iPhone, from Files or Drive on Android — and they arrive on the computer with their type showing, ready to download, up to 25 of them at once.
From your computer to your phone
Switch the direction and pick the files on the computer first, from the disk or from Google Drive or Dropbox, then scan the code generated for them. The phone saves them where downloads normally go. Useful for the document you want to read on the train rather than at the desk it was written on.
What happens after they arrive
Word documents have Word to PDF beside them, which opens the converter with the file already loaded — the usual next step for anything that has to be sent on as a PDF. Spreadsheets and presentations are carried but have no converter wired up to them yet, so those arrive ready to download. The whole arrival can also be saved together as a ZIP.
Limits, and what happens in between
Up to 25 files in one transfer and 150 MB across a session, by default — comfortably above the 25 MB most mail servers allow. The documents are not passed from one device to the other: they are carried by a temporary session on Pixpoo, reachable only through the code inside the QR, claimable once by one phone, and expiring by itself after ten minutes by default. They are deleted when the session ends or when you clear the list, and nothing is kept or indexed afterwards. There is no account, so there is nothing for a document to be filed under.

Which document formats can I send?
Word (DOC, DOCX), Excel (XLS, XLSX), PowerPoint (PPT, PPTX), OpenDocument (ODT, ODS, ODP), and plain text formats: TXT, CSV, Markdown and RTF. Each file is checked by its contents as well as its name — a .docx really is a Word container, not something renamed — so a file that is not what it claims is refused rather than delivered.
Can I send a Google Doc or a Google Sheet?
Not directly. A Google Doc has no file to download — it lives in Drive as something Google converts on the way out — so the picker deliberately does not offer them. Use File, then Download, and choose Word or Excel first; the exported .docx or .xlsx goes through here normally.
Will the formatting change?
No. The document that arrives is the same file, unopened and unconverted — fonts, styles, formulas, tracked changes and all. Pixpoo reads enough of the first few kilobytes to confirm it is the type it says it is, and carries the rest untouched.
Can I turn a document into a PDF after it arrives?
Word documents, yes: a .doc or .docx in the list on the computer has a To PDF button beside it that opens Word to PDF with the file already loaded. Spreadsheets and presentations are carried but have no converter wired up to them yet, so those arrive ready to download.
How many documents can I send, and how big can they be?

Do the two devices have to be on the same Wi-Fi?
No. The files go over the internet through a temporary session, so the phone can be on mobile data while the computer is on a wired connection somewhere else entirely.

They are held by the session and nothing more. It expires by itself — ten minutes by default — and the files are deleted when it ends or when you clear the list. Nothing is kept, indexed or used for anything else, and there is no account for a document to be filed under.
